Please note that Germany had the annually base change for the Relative breeding values in May (for example -2,1 points in RZM and -2,3 points in RZG for any bull) as well as the major base change for the original proof values (milk, fat and protein) which happens only every fifth year. As result of that German Holstein bulls lost on average 439 kg of milk, 14,1 kg of fat and 14,5 kg of protein without any change in their daughter performance.
 
Despite the effect of the base adjustment it is great news that all major SRV sires remained very stabil with their May proofs. You will find 6 SRV bulls in the German Top 20 including Delight, Alves & Lucifer and 10 SRV sires in the German Top 50 according to our Total Merit Index RZG !

 The German high reliable bull list is also dominated by SRV sires. Popular bulls like  De-Ka-Acres SANDEL (Sand x Blackstar; now with 1385 daughters) or Imperial Mandel MANAT (Mandel x Bell Rex, now  with 18305 daughters world wide) managed to hold up their high production and type figures nicely. Both bulls belong to the German TOP 5 high reliable sires in May!

Formerly cosampled SRV sires like RUBIN (Rudolph x Ugela Bell), Holim LEOPARD (Lord Lily x Sunnyboy) or PATRIZIER (Patron x Cubby) received also high proofs in Hungary and/or the Czech Republic which underlines the reliability of the SRV test program.

ALVES (Amel x CVM Mica x Oscar Lucinda): This international Top sire (TPI 1666) is backed by the former World production record cow 'Muranda Oscar Lucinda'. While currently Nr. 11 in Germany according to RZG, Alves gained 11 points this time for productive life (RZN)! He also was the first German bull ever who's daughter cracked the 9000 kg on average in first lactation. Many international visitor groups for example from the Netherlands, Italy, UK or USA inspected the strong milking daughters in their second lactation in Saxony. The extremely uniform angular Alves daughters impressed with a lot more strength and substance then expected, showing a perfect rump structure, very good feet and legs and still super attached udders. Alves is the perfect bull for a profitable dairy business combining high production and functional type with very good udder health, high productive life and calving ease. He is in use as sire of sons in many countries.

DELIGHT (Decision x EX-94 Show-winner 'Bellwood  Miracle' x EX-91 Mascot): From the heart of the famous 'Rolls'-family, this bull is backed by 7 Generation of EX dams. Delight remained in Germany's Nr. 6 position for Total Merit (RZG), gaining 4 points for somatic cell score and incredible 22 points for productive life (now RZN 133). During the SRV State Show 2005 in Leipzig all visitors could see that the second lactation Delight daughters have really deepened their ribs and added width throughout their bodys. The black,silky Delights have matured into really good cows, looking almost like "dairy machines". He went definately in the footsteps of his great family and has enough potential to sire show-winners himself.

HANNO (Hondo Aero x EX Juror x Melwood): The component specialist from the German W- family came up 4 places on the RZG ranking list with quite an increase in his productive life figure as well (now RZN 116). Hanno is definately a body trait bull, adding consistently stature, depth of rib and powerful front ends. He also sires wide rumps with an optimal pin setting. This bull can be perfectly used on any solid uddered cow lacking strength and width throughout to improve particularly those body traits, rump structure, foot angle and deviations. Hanno is also a high fertility bull and is currently selected as sire of sons in several countries.

LUCIFER (Lucky Leo x EX Jabot x Blackstar):  With now RZG 138 Lucifer ranks already at Nr. 9 on the RZG list and continues to make his way up to the Top. Originating from the well-respected Dutch Pietje-cow family (Sunny Boy, Pretin) he transmitts the high protein his family is popular for. With +0,22 % for protein percentage Lucifer is Germany's highest protein sire among the Top 250 bulls. His daughters are milking well in second lactation being tall, strong frontended cows with perfect rumps and excellent feet & legs. Lucifer improved also 4 points for Somatic Cell count (RZS) and 6 points for Productive life in May.

TUNIS (Tugolo x Rudolph x Diapason): The hottest Newcomer for SRV in May is backed by a high type family from France. The fifth dam in Tunis maternal line up is the popular EX- 98 "Uneco" cow sired by Persuader. Tunis combines good production with high overall type (RZE 133). His daughters are tall, well balanced dairy cows with exceptional feet and legs. The udders are well attached, high and wide in the rear with a strong udder cleft. Tunis ranks also high for all major functional traits like udder health, paternal fertility and productive life. Tunis started with an TPI of 1697, PTAT of +1,04 and  +2,19 for feet & legs on US base!

WINDFANG (Winchester x Design x Lindy): The new Winchester son traces back to an old Canadian cow family. Windfang is an excellent Allround-sire combining high milk and protein yield with stature, dairyness, slopy rumps and shallow udders (udder composite 124). Windfang has positive proofs for Somatic cell count, daughter fertility and productive life as well. He is a calving ease bull.

ARCO (Amel x Celsius x Bova): Arco goes back to the interesting Milk-a way family from Clover Mist farms in the USA and was succesfully cosampled in Germany and Hungary. The more medium sized Arco daughters are heavy milkers, showing a very flat bone quality and well attached quality udders. Arco ranks positive for the main functional traits particularly udder health and milking speed.
